Magical Cape Town & Argus Bike Ride!

Ride the Pick ‘n Pay Argus Cycle Tour, the biggest one day ride in the world with 35,000 cyclists!

Enjoy the magical energy of Cape Town with its incredible beauty, famous wine regions, fine dining, diverse culture and history.

We begin our 7 day Cape Town bike tour in an exclusive bed and breakfast in Camps Bay. Nestled against the twelve apostle mountain, Camps Bay boasts views from up high of pristine white beaches and the wild Atlantic Ocean. Lance Armstrong stayed just a mile away when he rode the Argus in 2010.

Cyclists will be in heaven pedaling towards Hout Bay and on to Chapman’s Peak. The view of the ocean below is spectacular! Visit the Cape Point, the tip of the African continent where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans collide.

As with all our tours, this tour offers many non cycling activities for those who prefer not to ride like a mountain hike up Lion’s Head, or a cable car ride to the summit of Table Mountain with its panoramic views of the city and beaches. The ladies are sure to enjoy a shopping excursion to the V & A Waterfront mall. African art and crafts as well as top international brands are readily available here. For those interested in local history, take an unforgettable trip to Robbin Island where Nelson Mandela was held captive.

After days full of exploration, relax and enjoy a local beer or wine while experiencing the distinct African sunset.

On day four of our tour it’s time for the Cape Argus ride, the biggest organized ride in the world. Cycling Champions like Lance Armstrong, Miguel Indurain, Eddy Merckx and Greg Lemond have participated in this 65 mile event touring the Cape Peninsula. Make your own history and receive your medal for completion of this world famous bike ride!

After four days of fun around Cape Town, it’s a short transfer to the town of Franschhoek, nestled in the heart of the Cape wine region. We’ll enjoy three relaxing days with picturesque rides in the beautiful wine country. Non cyclists; pamper yourself with a spa visit and massage or alternatively get your heart rate up with a yoga class while your partner is out riding. The Franschhoek wine region is home to many of South Africa’s top wineries and restaurants which we will be sure to visit more than once on this tour!

Travel with us to magical Cape Town for the experience of a lifetime!
